This poster was commissioned by a former supervisor of mine. He had attended the VoodooFest 2012 music festival and missed out on buying a poster, so he wanted me to come up with something to commemorate his experience. His favorite band in attendance was Metallica, so I took that and the voodoo aesthetics and created this illustration.
For this poster's illustration and overall design, I was largely inspired by the magazine Heavy Metal, which has incredibly unique and visceral cover art.
